Podcasts

Here are the podcasts that I have done over the years and a link to the one that is still in production.

Current Podcasts

Martin Wolfenden and Andrew Wilson from The Brainjam Podcast always dreamed of being able to do a chatty podcast in their pants. Now they can do just that, thanks to the magical threads of the internet linking their respective homes in Manchester and Okehampton in Devon

A Dipsocast is a podcast recorded at the end of a day/evening of heavy drinking. It must involve either Martin Wolfenden or Tom Stringfellow and it has to go out unedited, save the addition of some music to the beginning and end. Some people may be surprised to see that this is still a current podcast, however I suspect this will never be cancelled.

Historical Podcasts

The Gentleman’s ReviewThe Gentleman’s Review podcasts were recorded between 23rd March 2008 and 21st April 2013. During this time the podcast discussed news items, TV shows and movies as well as going on the road where comedians such as Michael Legge and New York’s Andrew J. Lederer joined Martin, Andrew, Lisa and Tom in deconstructing the Edinburgh Fringe and British comedy. Click here for the archived website.
Brainjam This is a comedy sketch show, featuring Martin Wolfenden, Andrew Wilson, Lisa Goddard and Tom Stringfellow. There are new sketches every month and many are about sci-fi, movies and shows from the olden days of radio and television. Have a listen, you may like itClick here for the archived website.
Wolfenden’s World of SoundThis was an experimental podcast created in 2019 to see if it was possible to do a podcast with licensed music.

I attempted to do a second series but it never really found an audience and I cancelled it in 2024.

Dab & TenchWelcome to the world of actors: Barrington Dab (Andrew Wilson) and Jamie Tench (Martin Wolfenden) who in their own words, “are the finest actors in all of England.” Which is a bold statement considering that Tench spends most of his time playing bad villains in straight to video movies. Dab however hate’s the movie business and prefers to strip naked and pleasure himself into the faces of his audience, for what he calls “the art of it”.Click here for the archived website.
Touching the PastThis podcast was pretty much a repackaging of ‘The History Bit’ sketches from Brainjam. Click here to listen to the Soundcloud playlist.
Tench LifeI attempted to bring Jamie Tench back for his own series but it was somewhat lacking without my friend Andrew doing Barrington Dab (as it were). I am thinking about bringing something similar back and changing Jamie’s name back to Jeremy. That was his original name but I changed it because Justin Edwards came out with Jeremy Lion and I didn’t want it to get too confusing. Click here to listen to the Soundcloud playlist.
