In olden days a glimpse of stocking was looked on as something shocking.
What that song doesn’t say is that the stocking was on a bank robber’s head. This is typical of lyricists who constantly bamboozle us with their half truths and down right lies.
Only yesterday, did I watch a video by a Miss Kellis of America, who continually stated throughout that her ‘milkshake brings all the boys to the yard’. I watched that entire video and nowhere did I see a milkshake and some boys in an area of land no larger or smaller than three feet square. This was a deliberate lie by Miss Kellis and I believe she should resign her post as a milkshake maker and consider a career as a nun.
Now you may think my protest against this singer of popular music is a silly one but it is no more silly than those of the Daily Mail who in their constant pursuit of Jonathan Ross and Russell Brand are making themselves look more ridiculous every day.
This time they have been offended by a photograph, which Mr Ross posted on Twitter. Now I saw this photo at the time he posted it. It is a lovely photo of some friends who’d had a lovely night, round a chum’s house and had decided to mark the occasion by taking a snap. There was nothing offensive in the photograph and it made me laugh.
So what did the Daily Mail find offensive?
Well what they chiefly objected to was the fact that Russell Brand and Jonathan Ross were in the photo and they looked like they were having fun.
“How dare they!” The Mail shrieked. Believing as they did that Messrs. Ross and Brand were under their control, and would not dare to have fun or live their lives without The Daily Mail’s written permission.
Let me say this to The Daily Mail. You are not important; your paper pedals the most base and knee-jerk opinion, your reporters are morally bankrupt and your readers are easily led. I am not a crazed fan but a reasonable human being who finds you a blot on the cultural landscape of this country.
Right I’ve got that off my chest.
Anyone for tea and buns?
