My mind is a blank and I am finding it incredibly difficult to write today. So as in other times of creative constipation I am turning to the blog. Usually I don’t mention ‘the blog’ in the blog as I’m afraid that if I do time and space will turn into some kind of vacuum funnel and suck away the world. Now I feel foolish as I’ve mentioned the blog and no funnel has appeared. There was a small pop in the corner of the room but I think that was a farting spider.
Somebody asked me the other day…no they didn’t. You can guarantee that when you read that in a blog the writer is wishing to talk about himself but doesn’t wish to appear egotistical. For instance: “somebody asked me the other day why I always win awards.” Of course nobody asked the writer why he always wins awards. He is simply saying that so that he can write a thousand words on how great he is and the inflict his world view on us all.
So my dear and valued readers, I pledge *stirring music* that I will never pretend that a third party has asked me a question and promise that if I feel like indulging in solipsism; I will just do so and not dress it up in a pretty dress and a creepy bow; like some kind of word pervert.
Now let me indulge myself and tell you that the most recent episode of The Gentleman’s Review podcast is up and ready to be downloaded. If you are a regular iTunes subscriber then it will download as if by magic to your computer. However if you want to get any new episodes after Saturday 23rd May then you will need to resubscribe in iTunes by going to our newly revamped website at http://www.thegentlemansreview.com and clicking on one of the ‘Subscribe in iTunes’ links which will open up said ‘iTunes’ and take you to our listings page. Then just hit ‘Subscribe’ and we’ll love you forever.
Incidentally the new feed has every episode we’ve ever recorded so you can hear all our old shaky podcasts. Even the ones where Tom sounds like he’s in a different town.
